Yogidex (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a study companion for yoga teacher training students. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and an optional display name. If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple), we receive your name and email address from that provider.
We store your quiz scores, flashcard review states (including spaced repetition data), study history, and streak information. This data is used to personalize your study experience, generate suggestions, and sync progress across your devices.
If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver study reminders. We do not collect device identifiers for tracking or advertising purposes.
If you use the app without creating an account, all study progress is stored locally on your device using browser storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you create an account and opt into cloud sync.
Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. We follow security best practices to protect your information.

We retain your account and study progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Locally stored data (localStorage) is managed by your browser and persists until you clear it.
Yogidex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other region with data protection laws, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your data, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing. For California residents, the CCPA provides similar rights regarding personal information.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app with a revised date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
