A standing forward bend where the torso folds over the legs, releasing the spine and stretching the hamstrings.

Alignment Cues

  • 1.Hinge at the hips, not the waist
  • 2.Micro-bend the knees to protect the lower back
  • 3.Let the head hang heavy
  • 4.Shift weight slightly forward into the balls of the feet
  • 5.Lengthen the spine on each inhale
