A supine variation of Hero Pose where the back reclines onto the floor or a bolster, deeply stretching the quadriceps.

Alignment Cues

  • 1.Start in Virasana
  • 2.Lean back onto the hands, then elbows, then fully recline
  • 3.Use a bolster behind the back if needed
  • 4.Keep the knees together and close to the floor
  • 5.Reach the arms overhead or rest them by the sides
