A supine backbend where the hips lift toward the ceiling while the shoulders and feet remain grounded.

Alignment Cues

  • 1.Lie supine with knees bent, feet hip-width apart
  • 2.Press the feet into the floor to lift the hips
  • 3.Roll the shoulders under and interlace the fingers
  • 4.Keep the knees parallel, not splaying outward
  • 5.Lift the chest toward the chin
