A standing twist where the torso rotates over the front leg, with the opposite hand reaching toward the floor.

Alignment Cues

  • 1.Square the hips to the front of the mat
  • 2.Lengthen the spine before twisting
  • 3.Opposite hand to outside of the front foot or a block
  • 4.Rotate from the thoracic spine
  • 5.Keep both legs active and engaged
