A deep hip opener where one leg is bent in front and the other extends behind, opening the hip flexors and external rotators.

Alignment Cues

  • 1.From Downward Dog, bring one knee forward behind the wrist
  • 2.Extend the back leg straight behind
  • 3.Square the hips as much as possible
  • 4.Walk the hands forward to fold over the front leg
  • 5.Keep the front foot flexed to protect the knee
