A seated pose where the soles of the feet come together and the knees open wide, also known as Butterfly Pose.

Alignment Cues

  • 1.Bring the soles of the feet together
  • 2.Let the knees fall open to the sides
  • 3.Hold the feet or ankles
  • 4.Sit tall, lengthening the spine
  • 5.Gently press the knees toward the floor with the elbows
